Selection Method Of Lubricating Grease

(1) The selected lubricating grease shall adapt to the grease supply mode of the friction pair

In case of centralized grease supply, No. 00 ~ 1 grease shall be selected; No. 1 ~ 3 lubricating grease shall be selected for regularly greased parts such as grease gun and grease cup; No. 2 or no. 3 lubricating grease shall be used for parts that are used for a long time without changing grease.


(2) The selected lubricating grease shall adapt to the working state of the friction pair

For example, when the vibration is large, the grease with high viscosity, good adhesion and vibration reduction shall be applied, such as the composite soap base grease thickened by high viscosity naphthenic base or mixed base lubricating oil.


(3) The selected grease should be suitable for its purpose

The grease for lubrication shall be selected according to the type, working condition, working condition, environmental condition and grease supply mode of the friction pair; For the grease used for protection, it shall effectively protect the metal from corrosion. For example, to protect the parts in contact with seawater and water, aluminum grease with strong adhesion and water resistance shall be selected; The general protective grease can be the grease made of high viscosity base oil thickened by solid hydrocarbon. For sealing grease, pay attention to its resistance to the solvent of the sealed medium.


(4) The selected lubricating grease shall try to reduce the variety of grease and improve economic benefits.

If the requirements are met, try to use lithium grease, composite soap grease, polyurea grease and other multi-purpose general greases. In this way, the variety of grease is reduced, the management of grease is simplified, and the grease cost and maintenance cost can be reduced due to the long service life of multi effect grease.


Correct use of grease

(1) The amount of lubrication to be filled should be appropriate

However, according to the actual situation, sometimes the bearing edge should be greased to implement cavity lubrication.

(2) Pay attention to prevent the mixing of different types, brands and new and old greases

Avoid the cross use of grease containers and tools, otherwise, it will have adverse effects on grease, such as drop point drop, cone penetration increase and mechanical stability drop.

(3) Pay attention to the replacement of new grease

As the variety and quality of lubricating grease are constantly improving and changing, when the old equipment is replaced with new lubricating grease, it should be tested first and then formally used after trial; When replacing with new grease, remove the waste grease and clean the components. When adding lubricating grease, the waste lubricating grease shall be squeezed out until new lubricating grease is seen at the grease discharge port.

(4) Pay attention to the management of lubricating grease filling process

Before receiving and filling lubricating grease, pay strict attention to the cleaning of containers and tools. The grease supply port on the equipment should be wiped clean in advance to prevent the mixing of mechanical impurities, dust and sand particles.

(5) Pay attention to timely replacement of seasonal grease

For example, the temperature difference between winter and summer plums in the environment where the equipment is located varies greatly. If winter grease is used in summer or vice versa, the results will be counterproductive.

(6) Pay attention to regularly adding and changing lubricating grease

The replacement time of lubricating grease shall be determined according to the specific use conditions, which shall not only ensure reliable lubrication but also avoid the waste of grease.

(7) Do not pack grease in wooden or paper containers

It shall be stored in a cool and dry place to prevent oil loss from hardening, mixing with water or being contaminated.

Correct selection of bearing grease

Bearing grease is the grease used on the bearing. Its purpose is to form a thin oil film between the rolling surface and sliding surface of the bearing, so as to prevent direct contact between metal and metal, so as to reduce internal friction and wear of the bearing and prevent burning. The effects of the grease on the bearing are as follows:

(1) Reduce friction and wear: in the bearing ring. The mutual contact parts of the rolling element and the retainer prevent metal contact and reduce friction. Wear.

(2) Extended fatigue life: the rotation fatigue life of the bearing is extended if the rolling contact surface is well lubricated during rotation. On the contrary, if the oil viscosity is low and the lubricating oil film thickness is not good, it will be shortened.

(3) Remove friction heat. Cooling: the circulating oil feeding method can use oil to discharge the heat generated by friction or the heat transmitted from the outside to achieve the cooling effect. Prevent the bearing from overheating and the lubricating oil from aging.

(4) Others: prevent foreign matters from invading into the bearing or prevent rust. Effect of corrosion.
